The Challenge

The project involved designing and integrating mission-critical customer information systems for the secure production of electronic documents, including e-passports and national IDs. The primary challenge was ensuring strict product standardization in accordance with ICAO regulations and international government mandates while managing high-stakes technical documentation and complex global requirements.

The Solution

We engineered a cloud-based microservices architecture focused on high-integrity data acquisition and system reliability. Key contributions included:

• Architecture & Integration: Designed secure personalization systems and managed complex Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) to connect enrollment systems with production environments.
• Technical Leadership: Headed a multidisciplinary team overseeing IT consulting, solution design, and the management of RfPs, SoWs, and BQs.
• Biometric Data Workflow: Implemented systems for the transition of sensitive biometric and biographical data from initial enrollment to final document personalization.
• Global Sales Engineering: Acted as a strategic partner in international pre-sales and post-sales activities, leading CxO-level negotiations to define project specifics.
